Default Lithium battery

3 questions.

Is it worth it?

What do I look for, so I buy one that suits my K5 sv650s? V, capacity......etc?
From looking at web shops it looks like I need a 12v 4Ah.

Would this fit?
LP LFP14

I know the size is not the same.

Need help ASAP

Unless you're stripping a bike to be as light as possible/track prep then not really

I know you already bought a gelled electrolyte battery, but AGM has advantages over gel, and still has no free electrolyte sloshing around inside.

AGM will give better starting power, generally have longer life and better low temperature performance, and they will recharge very quickly. As a extra benefit they are generally cheaper to buy. They are just as good with vibration as gel and do not leak.

Another point I'll add about Lithium batteries is that unless they specifically state they can be used with a standard Maintenance/Step/Trickle charger a new special charger has to be bought thus adding expense.

I'll stick with AGM

Absorbed glass mat, there is a fine glass fibre Matt between the plates (like a sponge) that traps the acid and gets rid of any spare acid, which means batteries won't leak even if case punctured. The plates are tightly pressed together and this holds the active material in place and makes the battery very resistant to vibration.

Thanks, every day is a school day! Inkilled my battery in the snow and was looking at replacement ones, thought there was only lead acid and lipo!

Yuasa AGM batteries are the way to go if you want a reliable tough battery that charges quickly and has good low temperature performance and good cranking amps. Also last a long time.
