Really not sure what to do with the Chinon.I might try it out to see what it can do but it's in a long queue.
I'll take pics of the Canon later on. It's yours if you want it but I'll get a battery first to see if I can get it working.
Pentax - think I'll try to get inside and behind the battery compartment to check the wiring. Apparently, B and 100ASA is battery check but nothing's registering. I'm wondering if the corroded battery fried the wiring.

How much did you want for the AE1 as is? I have the correct battery here. I won the Minolta XGM for £5 plus postage. Don't know much about it though.

Don't know much about the XGM but a fiver is a bargain. I think higher letter is like the higher number so M in the XG series should be a good one. Did you get a lens too?
I don't want anything for the Canon.
It wasn't a great bundle all in and none of the cameras worked initially so I bargained the guy down to £15 for the lot on the basis of that's what I could probably get for a K1000 with broken lightmeter. Getting the Chinon working is a bonus.
There are Canon fit lenses too if you are interested? I'll check them out later.

No lens for the xgm. Let me know what the postage is. Would be interested in the lenses if there is a 28mm fd fit. The Pentax is a simple match needle system so even if you cant get the meter to work you could always sunny 16 it. £15 isnt bad for all that if you can make it work. Did you want to trade the blue Trip 35 for the AE1?

Here are pics of the AE1. TBH, I don't think it's an equitable swop for the trip. I can't guarantee this hasn't been used as a football at some point. I still don't know if it works. I tried 3 shops today but none of them had the right battery
I've put pics of the lenses in there too; There's 3 in a Canon fit. All 3 have skylights or UV filters
Miranda 28mm f2.8 (lens cap is jammed on to the skylight??)
Sigma Mini 28mm f2.8 with macro.
Ozunon 70-200 f3.8-4.8 with a bit of fungus in there although it doesn't show up through the viewfinder.

I've found Pentaxes can be finnicky with batteries, my K2 mostly wouldn't work with the battery cover that came with it, when I randomly swapped it for the one on my MX it was fine, even though it seemed like it was clean enough. Worth looking under the bottom plate for corroded wires though. Are you planning on keeping it?
