Very nice Johnny.

Kenzie, I did the deal with the guy selling the X700 bundle - I now find myself the owner of an extremely sturdy tripod too.

That's good news. Did you want to trade 50mm lenses?

What spec's yours just out of interest? The one I got today is a 2nd generation Rokkor (as opposed to Minolta). 50mm f1.7 - 16. It's got a 55mm wide filter thread compared to the 49mm on the other lens I have.

Alternatively, now I have the zoom, I've a spare Tokina SD 28-70.

Its an Olympus Zuiko Auto-s 50mm f1.8-f16. What f/stop range is the Tokina?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Binned the film from the Contina, there wasn't much left anyway. The rear lens is a bit hazy, the others need a bit of cleaning. Slow shutter speeds stick, self-timer works, generally needs a bit of TLC and the strap for the case re-riveting.

Am eagerly awaiting my prints. They were pretty quick last time. Some day my prints will come.

Pretty much the same then.
The Rokkor threw me a bit. Layout and colours on the barrel are slightly different from the MD. Also, the MD goes down to f22 and has an aperture lock.

Tokina is a 3.5-4.5 zoom. Closes down to f22 and has a macro too.
