Finding myself another Vemar skid lid. Had one years ago and it was brilliant, but the visor broke twice. First time I was able to source a new visor, the second time wasn't so lucky. So, I've had a Shoei XR1000 since.

Went for a ride, stopped at a bike shop, and had a look at their clothing. Then, the Vemar caught my eye. Funnily enough the black and white colour scheme looked very similar to the Shoei I have. I tried it on and looked at the price label.

I went to the counter and asked if the price was for real. Yes, the lady said, we are no longer Vemar dealers so want to get rid and use the space in the display.
Ok, I'll have that then.
She then asked me for £130. Oh, I said, sorry I thought it was £20, looking at the label and noticing it said £159.99 now £20-.

Hang on, she said, before walking across the counter and speaking to the chap on the other till.

She came back over and said yes, you've got a deal.

So £20 for a new lid that was about £250 when they were introduced, that is more comfortable, has a better visor system, won't leak rain through the top of the visor when slightly open, won't fog up despite me trying my best to fog up with heavy breathing, and is probably one of the quietest lids you can get, that's made of a carbon fibre and fibreglass composite. That made me smile.

Went for a ride under very threatening skies to get a few more miles under my belt on my new front end. Got home with not a drop of rain. Man those forks are a million times better for the ktech springs and emulators. Best money ive spent on my sv

Knowing my daughter is on an overnight exercise in the peak district. Just a bivvy bag. And it is peeing down.

I gave her a small bottle of amereto when she packed last night just to help her insomnia

Or it could be the look on her face when I suggested she may need to invest in a shewee

Women don't need a Shewee, you spend a few weeks in remote parts of Egypt, The Gambia, Sri Lanka and Thailand or free camping in the New Zealand mountains and you soon learn squat and jiggle!

That was the plan, full width, enough space for tools, car and a bike or two...maybe gripe of the day should be her indoors wants a patio instead as that's where the sun is of an evening.

The cellar will be my man cave though so can't grumble.

Bloke wearing a "polite" hi-viz.
He was also wearing trainers and t-shirt that was flapping up his back at 100mph as he filtered down the motorway.

He actually managed to make the hi-viz look even more stupid.
And that deserves a smile.
