Default Changed the jets....but.....

...when i look down the front Carb with the engine running, fuel looks like its pouring out the main jet (passing the needle) but not on the back carb
They're 150 jets, de-snorkled filter, ignition advancer, micron full system, stage 1 cams

Should i be worried, it seems to be running fine

Is the needle secure on the slider, could the retaining clip come loose?

Are the carbs balanced, if the front is leading then it may well cause the needle to come of its seat.
Are both needles at the same height?
are the diaphragms and springs ok and the same ie not unequal.

Both needles are at the same height, diaphragms and springs are OK

Will balance the carbs and see what that does

Side Question.
Does it run a tad lumpy at idle?
Ive got DJ150s in mine & i think the needles are 1 clip up which may be the problem. If i give it a big hand of throtle it chokes a bit then goes, saying that its been standing for a while..

Well then. Don't try and diagnose a problem that doesn't exist

Presuming the main jets are the same, then main air jet and emulsion tube are things to have a look at. A combination of these begin to ‘atomise’ the fuel such that when it enters the venturi (at the orifice you have made these observations) it isn’t still in large droplet form.

The emulsion tube is the bit the main jet screws into, I would have to look at the manual to say where the main air jet is on the SV’s carbs, but you can look that up yaseln
