sv replacement finally prepped for track
Thought i'd better get some pictures of the 749 dark up before i take it to knockhill on friday and park it in a gravel trap.
Been mincing on with this since i bought it as a road bike last october so here's a list of whats been changed some by the previous owner but most by me. S spec gold nitrided forks to replace the poor oe dark spec showas bucci radial brake calliper brackets brembo radial callipers from an R with performance friction pads brembo radial master cylinder earls black braided brake lines renthal grips fork slider bobbins ssr rearsets ssr quick release tank cap carbon rear hugger carbon front sprocket cover carbon timing belt cover carbon exhaust heat shield race front subframe to replace lights stm evo slipper clutch jhp open clutch cover modded rear swingarm to accept paddock stand bobbins fitted renthal front and rear sprockets and tsbuaki gold chain (cant remember size 14/41 maybe?) mra clear double bubble screen hc racetech track fairings with desmosedici style stripe (and a 2 month wait!) racefit exhaust retains standard downpipes blue samco coolant hoses future plans include mono subframe or race spec one to replace the bip one on there (will stop the can from sticking out so much as it does now) quick action throttle LSL clip ons better tyres when they wear out (metzler roadtech probably one trackday then) better rear shock to replace the sachs one on there even if it has got an ohlins sticker front cylinder cat replacement pipe power commander pics were taken last week in the rain hence the wet bike This image has been resized. The exhaust does look a bit ..... odd

Mart dont know if you know the history on the engine but i posted a pic of the plugs on here showing the electrode on the vertical cylinder had snapped off.
Turns out that the broken electrode was making the vertical cylinder run super hot and an exhaust valve was burnt beyond repair throwing the valve clearances way out. Ended up fitting a new exhaust valve, new iridium plugs and lapping in the valves properly. Changed the belts too and its been fine ever since. Who knows what happened to the missing bit of electrode tho not to mention the extortionate amounts of cash missing from my bank account Exhaust will look much better with the proper mono subframe fitted but hey they cost about £200 and i'd rather get some track days out of the way now the season has started. does look kinda funny mind |

Dump it in the gravel & I think you will have a few people after your head.lol
Stick some lights on it & use it on the road, too nice for the track

is it just me or does that exhaust remind anyone else of a baboons ****? i think its because it sticks out so much. Its abit like a wart on a beutifull girls face.
