Default How do you correct the Rev Counter?

I've done searches but can't find any solutions.

The inj SV650 rev counter is hopelessly optimistic, does anyone know how it can be corrected to show a 'genuine' reading particularly higher up in the rev range?

Maybe the simplest way is to find out how much it's out on a dyno, take the instrument to pieces, and simply move the needle down a bit so that it's reasonably accurate between 8-10k???

I know the speedo is 9% generous, but this is the first I've ever heard of the tach being inaccurate.

Regularly shows over 11,000 rpm without hitting the rev limiter which is of course a fairy story (race bike, standard ECU).

So technically thats a kit ECU and worth a fortune and NOT cheating under minitwin regs! Where can I get one? :P

I read similar somewhere, think Barwel mentioned it sometime in the past.

Someone will prob know how to check and confirm if this is the case.

Just not me

Interesting as my sv (k4) will happily rev abit over 1k more into the red line before the limiter kicks in.
