11,000 mile service
Hi all,
Well I've clocked up nearly 4,000 miles since I picked up by 02 curvy putting it just over 11,000 miles . So Looks like it is time for the bike to have a service - I have a Haynes and the 11,000 service doesn't look too hard (no carb/throttle syncing, guess I should start saving for the 15,000 mile service?) I'm reasonably handy with a spanner and have some experience with car and marine engines but never done anything with bikes, I did manage to dry the plugs and drain the carbs earlier in the year after a water in fuel problem. What do you guys think? How hard is it? How much would I expect to spend to have it done ie is it worth the hassle? (anyone suggest anyone near Cardiff?) If I try it where is the best place to get Air / Oil Filter and plugs? (does anyone do a "service pack"?) Thanks Mike |
