@Red Ones - You picked a bad example with Churchill though, he roused Britain and allies to fight the third Reich and with Brexit we are now arguably fighting the fourth Reich ( The German dominated EU ), The ECB is headquartered in Germany and the Euro is the Deutschemark in all but name ( and if you want to disguise something you change the name ).

Wilberforce may not have been the man that you think either, he ( helped by many others) wanted to abolish slavery but he did not want the 'common' people of Britain freed from their slavery..

'Wilberforce believed that government was best left to the propertied and educated'

He wrote to one woman friend to urge her to adhere to 'the submissive, obedient demeanour which certainly should distinguish the wife towards her husband'.

He also opposed abortion, which had it been legalised would have saved the lives of many British women.

His friend Clarkson teamed up with Quakers who were already fighting ( and had been for a while) to abolish slavery ( Clarkson got little recognition for his roll, seemed Wilberforce wanted the glory ) - there was also a slave rebellion in the Carribean around that time which the British army could not control and this convinced slave-owners that they could not continue with their ways, the slave owners were profitably compensated by British taxpayers for their 'loss' of slaves, so in a way the slaves were freed by UK taxpayer.

'Wilberforce was most comfortable with his fellow Anglicans, but it was Clarkson who had forged the essential alliance with the Quakers, which brought financial support to the movement and a nationwide network of volunteers from the first religious denomination in Britain to take a stand against slavery'.

Brexit has been engineered by the super rich elite who wish to retain their excessive wealth and power.

The EU want to control their wealth and power and that's why we're leaving.

Brexit brings absolutely no advantage to the average man in the street, the electorate in England and Wales have been sold a pig in a poke.

man people are so brainwashed......

the EU was/is about a group of countries getting together to become one economic community with free movement of goods without taxation and MIGRANT WORKERS. the whole point of other lesser off members joining is to bring their standard of living up to the more wealthier members so there is an even playing field for workers. instead of thinking about popping into the next town to look for work people could go to other countries and everything would be the same'ish. small minded people still think about moving to the "city" but they dont think about what country.

i'm a very tin hatted person and yes there are conspiracy's at work but for us mortals there is nothing you can do about it.

all brexiteers have done is make less opportunity for work and higher costs of living. thank you.

Problem isn't so much about people moving as work moving. Don't think the 2500 Land Rover workers are happy about the EU grant that helped the move and / or the "help" that the EU gave to facilitate it.

its a lonely place without friends. anyone who has stayed in the remote places in the UK will testify to that, you cant just pop down the shops for milk so what happens when (not if) the EU decides that they get a better price for their goods elsewhere?

you also have to remember that pretty much every single utility company and bank belong to European companies/governments never mind some of our transport systems. do you really think they will put the price of their goods/costs up to support the UK? ermmm no. oohhh and lets not forget white goods.

due to brexit the cost of goods from the EU will now be subject to import duty and tax. i wonder what our Gov is going to spend its new found wealth on coz its not the people.

Much of our imports from non EU countries are current subject to import tarrifs that go directly to the EU. If we come to and agreement with those countries the duties will either go leading to cheaper goods or the duties will go to the HMRC.

Our utilities are regulated by a whole gaggle of no good time wasters https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Regulators_Network, time to get them working.

My worst fear is if we stay in, shacked to all the bad things whilst being in a lonely place without friends. The bridges are burned, the bond of friendship, trust and goodwill has gone.

Don't forget moving of Ford Transit from Ghent and Southampton to Turkey, all financed by the countries that actually contribute to EU. This was part of EU preparation of Turkey for membership to help increase the size of their political area of control. Trade is a Spratt to catch a mackerel with EU, their real aim is total political mastery of as large an area of the world as possible, led by Germany - is the picture emerging yet ?

If the EU was about free trade I would not have a problem, but it is a political construct run by unelected career politicians. Its only aim is complete destruction of national boundaries and identities, and if unlimited immigration is one of the means so be it. No other trade deals in the world specify unlimited visa free access to your country and the right to live there. Reforming the EU from within is a failed idea, the whole thing is set up to defeat any such attempt by any member.

EU giving grants to move industries has been going on a long time - the truth is that EU budget would not get through a proper audit because it is one giant slush fund.
