Chicken's much better in the oven than fried in a pan IMO.

Just put the breasts in a oven tray, add a bit of olive oil, season and then cover in foil (stops it drying out) Put on 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Easy

If you like bacon and have any in the house then wrap the breasts in bacon first and if you feeling really chef like then put some cheese under the bacon too. Yum!

If you`re only cooking a chicken breast I`d say 40 mins is a bit too long?

Yeah maybe a bit too long actually. I cooked a full 1kg pack of breasts yesterday for about 45 mins and that was plenty. Maybe take a look at them after 30 minutes and see how they're doing.

Calm down Jamie Oliver, one step at a time, lol.

I was just sick of microwave meals and takeaways, cheers for the reduced time will start checking at 25 mins and see what it looks like as our oven likes to burn stuff to a crisp normally.

If your oven cooks high the outside might look done but just to be sure stick a knife into the thick part of the breast and make sure the juices run clear. Hope it turns out nice

pmsl.

My mum buys them ready made like that from M&S and they are well nice. And so easy. How hard is it to wrap some bacon round a chicken breast, eh?

A chicken breast should take 20 mins at 200 degrees C if the oven has a fan.

If you want to save cash, do a whole chicken. 1h45 at 190 degress C.

If you want to stuff it (really yummy), I have a recipe that is really simple if you'd like it.
