Default FS. (Not your average) SV650s K8 57 Plate

*** EDIT : The price is reduced by £200 to £2180 if sold before next weekend (before Saturday 15th June). The belly pan, and gear indicator are not included at this price. ***

Ok. So it looks like this is happening.

I'm putting my K8 Sv650s (57 plate, twin spark) up for sale. it's the "sport" version, hence the red seat and all white tacho. The colour is black with a slight sparkle to it, called "Nebular Black Pearl". This can't be shown in photos and is quite subtle and comes alive in the sunshine.

Price is £2380. Located just outside of Bristol.
Mileage approx 16,000 but still in use so may rise.

I am firm on price as it's not far off a trade in price that I've been offered already, but am willing to remove certain mods to lower the price slightly. I'll post details on that later.

Please note : The rear Nitron R2 shock is not included. It can be added for £380 extra or I will most likely be either keeping it or selling it seperately. It will come with the original stock shock fitted.
Givi tank bag ring and sat nav bracket and auxilliary light and associated wiring / switch also not included.

There's lots of details to add as anyone who has followed any of the work I've done on it and asked / posted about on here will know it's had a lot of mods, tweaking, tuning and servicing done by myself in the last couple of years... highlights include all relevant oil, filter, coolant and air filter changes. Comfort kit CNC Topyokes conversion with Renthal risers fitted and front brakes stripped, deep cleaned and serviced at the same time.. new seals, fluid and braided lines fitted. Rear brakes also have a braided line recently and have been serviced properly too. New rear pads not long ago and new sintered EBC pads on the front both left and right a few weeks ago. Forks modified with damper rods welded up, Emulators fitted and up-rated K-Tech springs fitted with new seals and all bushings and Motul fork oil (fine tuned to 12.5wt to give really good rebound). TPS sensor adjusted properly. New recent PR4 tyres front and back etc etc..

All of this means it handles really really well and is comfortable and responsive to ride... and of course sounds amazing as it's a V-Twin with an aftermarket end can that gives a wonderful low rumble, but can growl nicely too.

I'll post photos first and then follow up with details / specs of component mods.

*** This is kind of a temporary listing as if it's not sold in the next couple of weeks I'll be holding on to it a bit longer for the BWP weekend away as there won't be enough time to sort the bike that's replacing it properly. ***

Anyone interested, please message me or reply here.

Thanks, Adam

+++ Follow up list of modified accessories and servicing / work done +++

Double bubble tinted screen
R&G tail tidy with recently replaced LED plate light
Red Fox Carbon (effect) front fender extender
Healtech gear indicator
Aftermarket short levers, brake is a genuine Pazzo, clutch is something else and slightly faded colour but works just as well.

Blue Flame Evo end can

Belly Pan
Oxford heated grips (the latest model with lots of level settings and improved waterproof connectors)

Mirror extenders
LED side lights
Upgraded Osram Night Breaker main bulbs
Carbon (effect?) crash bungs
Radiator guard
Rear bobbins
Buell pegs (gives a slightly lower position, originals can be included)
R&G bar end weights

Eazi-Grip Evo tank grips / pads
Oil cooler guard (could do with a repaint)
Recently replaced front sprocket (not because it needed it yet, but pre-empting wear as they're the fastest part to wear).

As already mentioned...
Braided brake lines front left and right and rear Hel.
Uprated EBC brake pads front and rear, recently fitted with front replaced just a few weeks ago.
CNC Topyokes comfort kit with Renthal bars ("Ultra-Low", although they're the same height as the naked would be so not actually that "low" as the name would suggest, still fairly upright and comfortable all day)
Recently fitted front and rear new set of Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres.

Coolant (OAT) and air filter done at the end of last year and still good.
Swingarm and suspension linkage recently properly serviced.. all fully removed and bearings, bushings etc checked, cleaned and regreased and refitted.
Exhaust header bolts swapped to stainless and generously copper greased too when refitted (always worth checking as they seize easily and can be nightmare to remove when you need to.)
New exhaust gasket fitted when header pipe was refitted.
Lots of cleaning and degreasing in hard to reach places around the engine was done while I had it all apart too.

Oil changed earlier this year. Oil change before that was about 2000 miles previous and I changed the filter then too.
Forks were full serviced when the Emulators and K-Tech springs were fitted a few months ago. New fork oil, new seals and new upper and lower bushings (again they didn't need it immediately but I fitted new anyway as the forks were dismantled and makes sense to not need to open them up again for a long while.
Throttle position sensor adjusted to bring the fuelling start point down to a sensible rpm instead of the 4,000 that it was set at!
Electrical connectors checked and cleaned under the tank when fitting the heated grips.
New Venhill throttle cables fitted when the bar conversion was done at the end of last year.
New clutch cable at the same time.
The notorious electrical connector block in the nose for the lights recently also pulled apart, cleaned tightned the pin connections and refitted with plenty of waterproofing around it.

Anything removed to service has always been refitted to the correct torque, with the appropriate grease or loctite as required. I am very precise about the way I do this, often triple checking everything as I wouldn't ride the bike myself otherwise.

So, loads of work done, with lots of recent new parts and servicing so there shouldn't be anything to worry about for quite a while.

It has MOT until mid September and I've never had any problems with it every time I've put it in. It's in such tidy and cared for condition that I don't think there will be any problem with it this year either.

It is ULEZ compliant.

I generally get 65mpg out of it, even with spirited riding. The best I've had is 69.5mpg.

If there's anything else I think of I'll add it. Any questions or suggestions of details to add please let me know.

Thanks.

Damn, I was hoping you'd be coming to the BPW on it as it would've been interesting to see it! What's next then?

I was holding out on selling it until after the BPW, but the test ride a couple of weeks ago was just too good.

Clue as to new bike ... Chris _SVS and me may be twins.

---although it's not actually in my possession yet and I don't want to jinx it.

Well done! I must admit I was pessimistic about achieving over £2000 for a 12 year old - but I’m pleased I was wrong.
