If possible that might give a usable,"Drop"?
I had considered that, but I've read that overall it's quite uncomfortable on the SV. I may give it a try anyway. Just to see how she likes it.

I think we're just going to have to go with a bar replacement.

We both really like the look of clip ons, but there doesn't appear to be an easy way of adding them without a lot of effort. Hence I'd hope the Gilles 2016 conversion bars might work. They almost look like clip-ons. But alas it sounds like there's no chance they'll fit.

Aha, just worked out how they fit, the top of the clamp is removed.
(feel a bit dim now)

Still think ace bars would be better and jota bars better still.
Maybe its because I'm old.

Definitely? Wow that's good news! But how can you be so sure? Is the new 2016 top yoke identical to the classic naked top yoke?

-- Edit -- I've ordered the Gilles bars, so I guess we'll soon find out!

After you posted the link with the photo of them fitted to a bike, it reminded me I'd seen them before on a custom special back in 2016 at Cupar Motorcycles.

Ah okay. Well that increases my hopes...

Although after I ordered them I told the Mrs, showed her a picture and she replied "I'd prefer them in chrome..."

So it's possible they'll be going back anyway *facepalm*
