Friction Zone
This is probably a newbie question; I searched for it but couldn't find it.
On my 2002 SV650, when I clutch out to the friction zone it'll pull the bike forward for an inch without gas and stall. On my friend's GSX-R and ZX-6, the bike would pull forever without gas. I've grown used to this but life would be 10x easier if the pull was stronger. Whats the problem here? Idle? I thought I found the idle on my bike but it seems as if it doesn't twist. Re: Friction Zone
With my K6, so long as I let the clutch out slow enough, she'll pull me along all day at about 8mph happily on flat ground.
My idle is set around 1400rpm. |

Re: Friction Zone
Thats probably what the problem is, turn the idle speed up to around 1200 - 1300 rpm, some people run it a little higher, but I've found that works for me.

Re: Friction Zone
The problem is I don't know where the idle is as well. I looked at the OM and thought I found the knob but its like it feels like it doesn't twist.

Re: Friction Zone
Its on the clutch side of the bike, it pokes out between the frame reasonably near the riders seat.
