Triumph Street Twin service interval is 10,000 miles. Better get on the phone and let Triumph know they've got it all wrong. While you're at it, Honda have some bikes with 8,000 minor 16,000 major intervals and some Yamahas are in the breakers yard long before the specified first valve clearance check at 20-odd thousand miles. Get them tellt. |

Re: BMW servicing
That's interesting. Suzuki use the same engine from 1999 to now. It changed to injection then to twin spark but mechanically it's pretty much the same. Then the oil change frequency halves. But the sump and clutch are pretty much the same??? |

Bomb proof but not crash proof. Back in the day when I went to collect my shiny new LC350 there was a row of five shiny new smashed ones round the back of the workshop. This was only months after they went on sale. |

Re: BMW servicing
I'm okay with oil changes, even though I don't think they're needed as frequently as recommended at all...But I was surprised to find out that my gsxs "needs" a replacement set of iridium spark plugs every 7.5k...that's another 40 quid I really can't justify as warranted....

Re: BMW servicing
Well. The dealer hasn't called me about the F800R I was interested in. They obviously sell themselves.
Off to look at an MT-09 and a Z900 this week then! |

Re: BMW servicing
Work colleague has one, he normally changes bikes with the weather but has held onto his early model MT-09 for a few years now.
Another colleague has the 900 Tracer and loves it. Me, I would go for the XSR version. |
