My route takes me onto M6 at J19 also. From there north is pretty boring unless major detour in my (limited) experience. However, I'm going to take J35 off M6 and then A6 to A590 as this is marginally more interesting. I'm taking the A5074 to Bowness, rather than your route as I hope there will be less caravans / touriods in general.

Well we would have done quite a few miles by the time we hit the M6, and I'll be focussing on getting us there ASAP. You're also staying at the other site, Bowness is closer and the trip along Windemere is picturesque.

Yeah I appreciate that seeing as you will have had some 'fun' on the Cat & Fiddle etc on the way. That was why I kept me nose out until you asked the question. Might see you on the M6!

i too will be coming a long way, & i think by the time i get to cat & fiddle area i will just want to get to the B&B so at the mo i intend to either join southerners at j20 of m6 which is a bit of a crap place to wait
so im thinking of going the 50 mile detour to cat & fiddle. from there its a bit boring?

im also led to belive that jelster & co like to go fast, i too like to go fast. BUT i think my fast & your fast may differ

The concept of "fast" depend on what you compare it too.....

Anyway, we'll be in group mode and on a motorway, so as long as you can filter at 110* you'll be fine
