Funny noise.

Hi all,

Just got back from a bit of a blast with a mate. I parked the bike up and let cool before putting the cover on.......... however......

When I wheeled it into place I noticed a strange clicking or ticking sound coming from the engine area (when pushing it forwards and backwards. Sounds like its coming from the bottom of the engine somewhere???

The bike was switched off and in neutral, I have had a look behind the front sprocket cover and it all seems ok. Chain is properly adjusted and no play in rear wheel bearing. Nothing catching either.....

Its happening too often to be a stiff chain link IMO....

What do you knowledgeable people think???

+1 yes. leave it a good few hours then go back and see if it still does it.

The engine was stone cold when i wheeled it away. The clicking noise was quite loud and got quicker as i pushed the bike along.

Definately not just coolong noises.

oh, mybe something like a twig etc stuck in the chain , or if you have a huger something between that and the rear wheel? or have you left you spokey dokeys on again?? LOL

Something with the wheels maybe? Or a bit of carp in the calipers?

Just been out and lubed chain. Still making noises. Its like a donk donk donk when I push it along. Sounds like its in engine to me???

I doubt its the engine, unless your really strong to turn the engine over when your pushing it! Is anything loose? flapping about?
