IE7(beta) display problems
Here is an example of my problem (its not just in eBay) - note the strange placing/display of 'Auctions’, ‘Buy it Now’ and ‘Classified Ads’ - what should be – Tabs, they are .... well you can see!! ... anyone know what setting I need to change or install do I need? Any ideas?
p.s. I have tried uninstalling the beta and installing IE7, but for some reason it refuses to uninstall and just hangs if I do … Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 20-10-07 at 05:56 PM. |

Re: IE7(beta) display problems
Ditch IE altogether and install Firefox.
How are you uninstalling? Through the control panel? Add/Remove Programs? |

I have tried both using 'Add/Remove Programs' and letting the install automatically uninstall ... I end up having to do a system restore as the system just sits there kinda doing nothing ... I am not the most patient man, but I am talking 10min+ with nothing new happening ... |

Re: IE7(beta) display problems
Ok, so don't uninstall it.
Either just install Firefox, set this as your default browser and just leave it, or just install full IE7 over the top of it. G |

Re: IE7(beta) display problems
Have you tried all the usual things, like deleting all your cookies and temp internet files?
If not then it could be something to do with your display, or graphics driver perhaps? I would just install Firefox (or any of a plethora of alternative and safer browsers) and forget about IE altogether. |

Re: IE7(beta) display problems
Why are you still using the Beta? Install the full version & be done with it.
I forget the name of the OCX control that causes that problem, I think it's detailled in the MS Knowledge 'bin.' Basically, it's one of the .dll files that you need to replace. But that shouldn't stop you uninstalling (unless MS are doing something daft like CRC checks on uninstall). Where's SoulKiss....? |
