Idle Speed Change (too high)
hi.
Does anyone have any logical explanation as to why my idle speed has inexplicably jumped to 3,000 rpm? I don't think it's a sticky choke as it doesn't run roughly, Are my carbs knackered? Do I hear the sweet sound of my bank account emptying again? Any suggestions welcomed! Thanks Jason |

on the TL there is a throttle stop and if its set wrong it pushes the throttle lever beside the throttle boides and it revs to high,
now im not sure about the sv but im sure it might be something simular.. or maybe your choke cable needs adjusting.. easy jobs cheers dar |

get the tank up and have a look around, push back the slides in the carbs and see if the butterflies are opened, check the cables

Your choke cable could be knackered. Does it run ok othe than that?
As said, pop the tank up, give everything a good clean and lube |
