Default Please help these kids - my London Marathon 2009

Hi all,

I wondered if I may let you know about a bunch of kids that really need our help. I know a little girl called Amy who, along with her friends, suffers from a very rare illness called Cockayne Syndrome.

I have decided to take on the London Marathon on 26th April 2009 as a way to raise money for the Amy and Friends charity and would really appreciate your help and support in doing so.

I know that there are many many deserving charities out there that equally deserve support but having met some of these kids in person I couldnt resist wanting to do something to help. So, thought I'ld pick something relatively easy like a marathon .....oh my god what have I let myself in for.

If you would like to support me by making a small donation then please do so at my fundraising page here. Any amount would help, no matter how small. Go on, dig that change out of your pocket and send it to Amy.

If you have any questions about this please dont hesitate to post or give me a shout in a PM.

Thanks guys/girls,

Mike

Anybody?

We've managed to get this up to £1000 so far. Would really appreciate any support that the .org can offer.

Quite the opposite, those tenners soon add up.

Was thinking of carving up a couple of old Pirelli SC race tyres to glue some new grippy soles on my trainers give me more grip in the corners.
