Skip,

You need to tick the box marked :-

Visitors can place pins?
(you will be the only one able to place pins on your map if you select "no". This is interesting if you want to set up a "read only" maps)

Done that from the start - I was hoping if I left it for a while it might start working - guess not

Will take another look...
