Re: Acceletrator pump
Agreed. And I'd like to know how an 'accelerator pump', which is a throttle transition device, can cause it to make more power everywhere

Re: Acceletrator pump
Yeah cheers guys, i've been a member of this forum for a while and most of the time you get good good responces to your questions regardless if it's an SV or ZX, obviously not this time.
I was only saying it makes the bike feel a little more responsive, with less dead spots. So anyone that has a power commander should try it. Last edited by SUPERSTARDJ01; 07-12-09 at 08:22 AM. |

Re: Acceletrator pump
Don't be sensitive, if you say something daft of course we're going to giggle.
An accelerator pump is something you get on non-CV type carburettors to avoid bogging down when the throttle is opened rapidly. So care to elaborate? Is it some setting which makes it dump a little more fuel in when you open the taps or what?

Re: Acceletrator pump
Ok, basicly it's a piece of software that you attach to the power commander software and yes it dumps a little more fuel, you can increase throttle responce, fuel intake in % and revolutions.
Sorry about rant, it's cos I never thought of this forum as being a bitchy forum. check out: http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...eratorPump.pdf |

Re: Acceletrator pump
Ah! It wasn't you talking balls then, it was some boswallox marketing from dynojet! (who'd have thought it?)
I think they need to go back to school. Surely the only point of purchasing a PC is to change the AF ratio under different conditions, I don't think software to let you change that is a particularly new idea! That download will be user interface to change the map (as designed...) without being so messy.
