English?
I've just been looking at some information about a racing series for next year and i noticed that there is a British, Irish,Welsh, Isle of Man and Scottish colour scheme for the bikes, WHAT about an ENGLISH colour scheme? I get more than a little fed up about being lumped into a British identity I'm not British I'M ENGLISH and proud of it! Does anyone else feel the same or am i ploughing a lonely furrow?
chris ( And i know my helemet is based on the British flag before anyone points that out!) |

You're considerably less likely to be bombed, anyway... (OK, yes, this is Razor's joke with just enough changes to get round copyright law )
It does seem ridiculous, what you describe- is it possibly just that nobody's chosen to use the George Cross in the past? A lot of asshats identify the Union Jack with England, not Britain...

No. The only medical personnel that can wear the red cross are, ironically, members of the International Red Cross. Normal everyday medics, such as myself, don't wear any crosses of any colour as it is a "first aid" insignia. Although we do administer First Aid wherever its needed we generally have to provide a higher level of care. However, we digress. As a rule we (paramedics and EMT's) wear the Star of Life. (see my avatar - thats the Star of Life just in case you were wondering. which you probably weren't!!) Incidentally, this is the reason why First Aid boxes are now green with a white cross. *pedant mode off*

Ooooh get you Little Englander!!
J/k mate I agree. You should still take pride in Britain but when the identities of the other Home Nations are there and not your own you're right to be ****ed off. English identity in general is stifled by British identity. |
