Hard to know. Maybe I got some grit in the seal. This is the seal brand that I just removed. From wemoto

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of them but it’s unlike wemoto to sell crap
Did you try the seal reseater trick? I was always dubious but did it recently and it fixed the weep. Has been good for a couple thousand but I do have it in the back of my mind so will be redoing them

I have seen the resealer trick with those thin plastic tools on YouTube and I did think about having a go at that but access to that area on the VFR is restrictive due to the fairing and other gubbins. It seemed easier to take the fork out and have a closer inspection and since it was out I might add well change the seal.

its sometimes not the seal but the bushing inside the forks. i went round and round in circles with my gsxr front end till i changed the tubes/bushing. if there is too much play the stanchions rattle in the tubes resulting in creating a gap at the seal.

I made one out of a plastic milk jug that worked a treat, but it was very accessible

Yeah I was told to
Always do the bushings if you’re bothering to do the seals as they’re generally cheap

I got some new timbers for my 30 year old Black and Decker workmate. Then I cut and glued these bits of chipboard.

So now I can turn it into a wee table...

Where'd you get the new tops? I've done the slapstick classic and cut through the table I was working on and could do with some replacements - but the quick google showed it to be more than a new bench!

No tinkering as such today, but the bike did click over 55K miles.
