I wrote a Fireblade off at the Nurburgring once with a front end wash out that came completely out of the blue and in the end i just settled for slagging off the 16" front tyre, even though it probably had more to do with me pushing to hard to soon....

Where did you come off, was it going in/out, on or off the throttle?
i came off exiting the corner going onto the back straight, while getting on the power. basically i felt the rear starting to slide so eased the power off a little (not all the way to avoid a highside) and before i knew it the front end was going mad and shaking all over the place and then bang. lowsided on the right of the bike.

it's pretty mashed up so i think it'll take a good while to get it ready again

No, you're quick enough. Just need a little practise and not being too quick too soon.

To be fair from what I seen of you at mallory you can hold your own and the bike was restricted.

When your going pretty quick the inevitable happens.....have you ridden the blade much? maybe you just put to much power on and spun the rear up......although from what I can remember the surface is pretty flat and off camber on that bend, not the nicest of corners.

true, it does just happen sometimes. i'm still not really sure what why it happened still, but i did notice the surface in general round the track looked like winter had given it a beating. there were a couple of holes that i noticed on the track at that corner when i went to pick the bike up.

It's quite easy to run wide on the exit from Sear and you can drop off the edge of the track onto the old runway surface, and this can set off a bit of a slapper. Perhaps you just shut the throttle a tiny bit to quickly and loaded the front as well, never mind at least you're OK and as you say Ebay should help you sort the bike. I took my GSXR down to Crescent Sukuki the following day, it needs 4 pistons, 16 valves and a new head......ouch. Fortunately I managed to find a complete engine on Ebay for less than the cost of just the valves....hopefully I can now make Lydden next weekend.

And i'm pretty good pointing at things saying "that goes there dont it?" and stuff

Seriously tho, ive got some tools and am happy to lend a hand if you need it mate. Ask Squid, my spannering isnt that bad either as long as i'm given directions or you have a Haynes manual and half an idea of what to do.

Nice graze tho... chicks will like it so make sure you wear shorts when you can wont you
