Default Some shots from the Lake District

The camping trip was cut painfully short by a storm that managed to bend a few poles on the tent in what I can say was the worst night I have had in a long time. Quite a few people packed up and left for various reasons. As the forecast was poor for much of the week, we decided to pack up. We did however manage to take a quick walk on the Sunday and visited Aira Force Falls at Ullswater.

I know, still a pain, 600 miles round trip for one stormy night! There was a disclaimer at the site saying that they don't control the weather and won't issue refunds!

Beautiful photos of spectacular scenery. I have not been up there since 2004 when I went for a winter climbing trip. Sadly I was also affected by the weather. All of the snow melted!
