Default Exhaust Popping And Banging

Ok, a bit of a stupid question probably but just to put my mind at rest:

When coming off a steady throttle my exhaust is popping and banging a bit, I have recently changed it to a Blue Flame Evo can. Is this normal, and maybe is just running a bit rich? I assumed it was just unburnt fuel in the can but just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong, and that it won't do any damage?

Cheers

Its more than likely theres a small air leak in the joints where the can attatches to the OEM exhaust pipework.

My blueflame evo did the same as long as its just a few pops and the odd small bang its nothing to worry about.

In fact I quite liked the sound.

+ 1, easy to fix with a bit of liquid gasket. Although if your bike is a Pointy ('03-'09) then the PAIR system also produces the same effect.

beowulf end can on mine, changing down from 4th to 3rd at 40-30mph creates lovely popping

No no it's not a problem, I love the way it does it. I just wanted to make sure that it was normal/ok to do it.

Cheers guys, I'll let the popping carry on
