Default To go or not go

So i have a track day booked for tomorrow
Forecast says it will be raining for the morning
I have just put on a set of Supercorsa's and i have not run them in at all (only 10 miles completed)

So do i limp to the track (1 hour ride) sit around for half the day on the bassis it might dry out (bear in mind i hate riding in the wet even with good tires)
Or bin the day completely

Also i need to put the baffle back in which on my bike takes about 2 - 3 hours as i have to remove the whole thing thanks to the stupid designer of the thing putting a bolt access point directly next to the swing arm!

So should i go or should i stay
There is a song in there somewhere!

Go. There is a strong wind so the track will dry quickly, and you can use the first couple of sessions for eating bacon and sighting the track - probably almost on your own. Plus it might just be light rain not a deluge, though knowing Silverstone I doubt it. Don't worry about the tyres, maybe go for a ride tonight if you can.

Depends on what else you have to do, if you're missing out on money because you could be working might be an idea to cut your losses.

I went to a wet track day and it was a complete waste of time, if it's not fun it's not worth the risk.

You could always just turn up half way through the day once it's dried out.

If however you're going to be lying in bed then get your **** down there

You'd need ot be there first thing for the briefing to get your sticker/wristband. Forecast looks like you'll get a dry afternoon

I'd go.

I once went to Cadwell where it was wet nearly the whole day.

I still went out (on Pirelli Rosso Corsa road tyres) and paddled around in the wet. After all how will you ever get better at wet weather riding if you don't do it? And at the safety of a trackday surrounded by a medical team.

BUT in the last session which was 80% dry, I had a fantastic 20 minutes riding which made up for the wetness before!

Even riding a wet trackday is better than a day at work!

The money side of things does not really bother me
The fact i am using up a days holiday to sit in a garage for half a day twiddling my thumbs does
I hate riding in the wet on the road so i doubt i will like it on a track (don't get me started about how windy it will be)

I think i would rather cancel my day off and re book somewhere else

Officially yes, but I have turned up half way through a track day and they were fine with it.
