Look what I'm buying (large file, sorry)
Hi guys,
just got back fom a trip to Hungary. Below are a couple of pics of the house that we're buying as our holiday home and also to let. In Hungary they have very hot summers and very cold winters, and although prices in general aren't as low as some other European countries, the price of property is very cheap and set to rise. Our house is called a "weekend house"( there are hundreds of them scattered throughout the hills) and lies nearly 2 miles off the main road on the edge of a mountain. It has an inside toilet, hot and cold running water and a bath(all of these features together are unusual in this type of property). It also has a 650 square metre garden with very large shed. The views are stunning. Although it is perfectly habitable as is, we intend to spend around £1000 to improve certain areas. And the price?............................................ .................................................. .................................................. .........£8,500!!!!!! |

The guy on the patio is my partner's cousin who lives nearby. And as for a £50,000 house, I don't know as we only had £10,000 to spend but I'm sure you could get something impressive.
The beauty of a house in this area is you can rent it out to tourists in the summer( and they do get quite a lot) and then again to the German, Austrian and Italian hunters in the winter who come for the wild boar and deer . |

I'm sure it'll be worth a lot more than £8,500 in a few years I've heard that the property there is going to boom soon

No, the idea is to buy a Trabant and leave it over there, along with an old crosser. At £50 a flight and family to pick us up from the airport I'd sooner fly. Although riding over hasn't been ruled out on an odd occasion
