Have to agree with you on this one.Fitted a set in the Spring and I have done a whole "season" plus a John'O'Groats Scotland tour [5.8K] to date and although they still have plenty of tread in the centre,the rear has started to square off a little now.Looks like they will see me through the winter sunny dry day rideouts and it is only the rear that will need replacing next spring and having said that I doubt if it will be illegal then.
I must admit to increasing the pressure to the manufacturers recommended 36f and 42r pressures but the overall performance,in both wet and dry has been inspiring N.B. This is on a Sprint ST not an SV so I don't know if it is a honest appraisal |

I'm running PR2's as well, and I know a couple of guys that went touring on thou's around Europe. The sets of PR2's they used managed 6k quite easily.
Personally, I prefer the PR2's to the Z6's. I'm with Dicky Ticker, I run at 36/42 as well. At first it feels like you've got bricks on at low speed, but you quickly get used to it, and I find there's more feedback at the higher pressures. |

gonna try these come next change of tyres (if I don't change bike to a firestorm), just put another Diablo strada rear on , to be honest these have been great combining great life & grip , for the PR2's to better than the Stradas will be hard
,in summer can scrap pegs at will , even today at 4 ish degrees scrubbing new rear tyre in got only 2mm left on tyre. I still recon the best tyres I've tried are Bridgestones BT010's (approx 3.5k rear)( did not like BT014's) and Pirelli Diablo(5k rear) & Diablo stradas (6-7k rear) Cheers Steve

I managed to get nearly 9k out of my pr2's on a z750 although the turn in for the last 1500 was awfull, and quite a lot of the milage was touring/winter which keeps the life up. I would think 6k of summer riding is easy to achive.

Ive done about 6K on my Falco with these but I think in the next 1000 miles ill be changing them. They're get a little flat.

Just ordered a set of these for my summer tour (I don't think a BT003 medium compound would last too long!) and am looking forward to how they perfoem.
Anyone run these on a sports bike? What presssures did yo go for, seems most people have gone for the recommended standard. |

Just done 4720 kms on mine and they seem to have loads of life left in them. A bit slower to drop in that a sports tyre profile, but fine for touring/fastish road riding on unfamiliar roads on the GSXR. I'm not sure if I'd go all out on them, but that may be just because they feel a liitle unfamiliar compared to BT-002R/003R.
Tested them at an indicated 276 km/h on the autobahn seemed stable enough, a combination of cross wind, tank bag, tail pack, rucsac and a little tracffic fast approaching on the horizon stopped me going any faster. |
