Default SV 650 Fuel light

Today, I collected my bike after getting a new clutch fitted. When I tried to move off from traffic lights, I stalled the engine and couldn't get it to restart. In neutrl when I turned on the ignition, I heard the fuel pump prime and the dashboard cleared. However, the red light next to the gear indicator was on, I checked it wasn't in gear, no fault code on the dash, kill switch off. I tried with the side stand up, down with the clutch in, in gear, in neutral. Nothing worked. Then 30 minutes later I put the side stand up again and the red light went out and the bike started.

Does anyone have a clue what was going on here? just in case it happens again.

Telling us what bike this occurred on would be handy here...
