Default 2009 fast idle

My bike idles at 2k rpm,(sorta new bike for me, it`s been running like that since I got it). Yesterday I set the TPS Sensor(since it idles at 2k, i set it to move to the upper dash at 2.5k. Today I tried to balance the throttle bodies...but as far as I know, it needs to idle at 1.3-1.4k rpm...and I can`t figure out how to lower that idle. There is no screw at the side like the older models..
Any ideas are welcome.

The idle speed is set electronically. It seems very high.
Unless you have the necessary kit to change it then it's a garage job.
You need to get the idle sorted before playing with TPS. I'd suggest getting the idle looked at, then balance the throttle bodies and then do the TPS.

How does one temper with the idle? I have no access to such qualified garage here..so I will have to work on it myselfe. Mechanics here are....self taught so...yeah. I'm forced ti so stuff myselfe (on the up side...I enjoy it)

This thread might shed some light on it but read the full thread and or even bookmark it for now.

http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95514

It's out of my my knowledge base bike as my 1999 Curvy is Old-school idle adjuster knob.

However first check that the throttle cables are OK at the carb end and also look for Air-leaks into the carbs from the air-filter.

I should probably be looking for reasons to get high rpm on idle...I can only think of vacum leak, or..some sensor gone bad. Any thoughts?
I have a trip planned for saturday..and I`m hoping to find a solition to this "problem"

DO NOT TRY AND BALANCE A TWIN SPARK without the SDS tool. you need to lock the idle down before you can adjust the balance. you also have to remember that its not balanced by the usual means such as the single spark bikes, there are two small screws on the intake that you need to adjust and not the main link rod screw. if you have moved the main link rod screw then your screwed and you need to set the butterflies up again using digital vernier gauge.

unless you invest in an SDS tool then its dealer only adjustment.

as for the TPS you need to get it down to 14-1500 for it to make a difference.

Therein lies the problem I suspect.

To balance the throttle bodies you need the kit Bibio referred to, or a dealer.
You've used a carburetor balancer which is the wrong but of kit. The bike has a demanding way of balancing the bodies which requires the revs to be held steady while within a narrow temperature range and then faff around with two screws at the same time.

Personally I prefer bunging the dealer £50 and having a coffee.

Well...balancing the TB`s is a minor problem..but that`s not the main problem. The main problem is that it idles at 2k..I`m thinking of checking the Engine temperature sensor next(even tho it doesen`t make sense because the temperature on the dashboard is working good). And I will test the STP and STVA(getting desperate)for resistance and voltaget using the service manual.
