3 Services in 9 months!?
Hi All,
Bought my K6 from new back in september (22nd to be precise ) and just realised its due for it's 7500mile service. This will therefore be the 3rd service in 9 months which seems a little harsh to me (and my wallet) is this normal? |

yup, I'm in exactly the same boat. Do the minor services yourself, its easy!

Re: 3 Services in 9 months!?
It is normal for a bike ridden 7500 miles to need a service, so yes.
In the same boat myself.

This is one of several reasons why it's wise to start doing services yourself if you actually use your bike (rather than just polish it)

Lightweight's the lot of you!
I've been on the road 11months, and next week I'll be 3 services in front! (the bike is on 21k at the moment). Get out & ride some more already |

Re: 3 Services in 9 months!?
If i start servicing stuff myself though doesn't the warrenty self destruct in 5 seconds? (not that i've ever used a warrenty) I guess i knew it had to be done deep down, just wanted to moan about it... Expensive this biking lark isn't it!

The warranty issue, check your documents. Mine says that it has to be someone with "sufficient mechanical knowledge"... I take that to be me, with the official Suzuki manual in PDF format on my laptop. Oh yea, and not forgetting advice from My Haynes too. Other people have more stringent policies in their warranty, but at the end of the day, if you can prove it's had official suzuki parts in it when it should of, then I can't really see you having many problems with warranty work. |

Sorry, have a habit of throwing spanners (Not at the bike!! Also, at least I'm not as bad as my mate, who's been known to leave tools INSIDE engines!!) |
