Frozen Hands
so last winter i put up with the cold without adequate protection for my hands...this winter I decided to get some better inner gloves to wear under my proper ones and they seemed to be doing a better job than my old set up but it's not enough for rides longer than 1 hour.
Looking into getting some heated grips but don't wanna rush out and buy an Oxford pair... any opinions from experience with the Oxford set as well as other options? thought about heated gloves but dont like having wires dangling from me to the battery. if you know heated gloves which utilise a small battery unit that can be put in a pocket that would be good though. thx for any tips |

Re: Frozen Hands
Oxford worked fine for me on my pointy, there's even a spare connector so you can wire them into an ignition circuit.
Have you considered muffs? Might not be the best look in the world, but they don't half keep the wind out. |

Re: Frozen Hands
Liz has got Oxford Hot Grips on her SV, they get so hot they burn my hands, and I end up turning them off or down very low.
That said, I have got decent winter gloves and rode for an hour into work one winter in - 6 ish temperatures and my hands never got cold....

Re: Frozen Hands
I've got a thickish pair of Dainese gloves this year and they make a good difference, that said I've gone for hotgrips too (boughtem yesterday) because I'm addicted to eBay.
Out of interest.....do you keep your kit in the house, or garage? I find that if you leave gloves (especially) in the airing cupboard they seem to retain the heat for "maybe" a bit longer....(maybe its all in my head) |

Re: Frozen Hands
What gloves are you using, if you have summer gloves with the inner gloves they are not adaquate for the weather we are currently experiencing.
I have the mitten type 3 finger gloves from HG and they are really warm, I also have some inner gloves for when it is really cold! http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/p...oducts_id/3688 |

Handlebar muffs. After 8 years of riding, i have decided that i am to get a pair for the SV. My hands are getting worse and take forever to warm up. So roll on payday
