Christmas bonus

Xmas bonus here usually amounts to a free week's wages (in cash, no tax hehe) a large bag of the soapiest spuds you could imagine and this year we also got a free night at the local indoor karting track.

Getting my last bonus in the new year as our new company doesnt do them but hope theyll put it into our basic.

The last company I worked for got no bonus whilst I was there much to everyones annoyance (I didn't qualify for it anyway so found it reasonably entertaining). But they would usually expect to get about £1.5k to £2k. Same for the companies I've just been interviewed by.

I did quit my job this summer but for some reason remained on their system and got their £25 M&S Voucher for my Birthday. Hope I get it next year too. I sold it on ebay for £21.50

I was given a brace of pheasants once. That would be nice but they were still warm, I lived in a tiny flat and only had a microwave and a sink.

This year I might get a day off because I work for a Belgium company and they have already had christmas

I used to work for a retail company that would give you £7.50 for the employees Christmas meal - which you had to arrange yourself and provide evidence before the £7.50 would be paid. Nice.

I'd spend it on food and save the cash that I'd otherwise have spent in Tesco or Sainsburys.

the worst christmas bonus i ever got was a 4-pack of fosters...haha!

mind you, i was working in a car shop at the time, i didn't expect anything!

bonuses are a lot lot better now as luckily i work for an investment bank
