Hi, sounds like a good run.
Will check with a few mates if they're interested, might meet up in Dingwall or somewhere along the way. What are you planning for digs? B&B or hotel? Will drop you a PM to confirm things during the week. M. |

I would come along but my bike is having issues!
I got the rear tyre replaced last friday but the mechanic phoned me and told me that there was spacers missing around the rear bearings and as such the bearings where grinding themselves into oblivion!! So he has order the parts from suzuki and he wont get them till this friday thats if suzuki order them and they arrive on time so i cant use my bike for a week or so. Sorry I have been to Applecross in the car (for work) and its amazing up there! Next time |

Been up there and across the mountain range to Applecross on my thou. The views are nothing short of spectacular. I have plenty photos of the area. Bear in mind there's 1st gear hairpin bends and the climb up the hill is pretty steep. Once you get over the peak, park the bike alongside the crash barrier and get a photo of the valley and the loch behind the bike. I'll post up mine whenever the internet decides to play ball...
Then the run down the hill to Applecross is 12 miles of hairpin singletrack bends Don't expect the tourists coming up the hills to stop and let you past!!! Be prepared to haul the speed down. Nutty's hill sheep are also a problem. They look at you as if to say "we own the road pal, drive around us!!" There's also no mobile phone signal (any network), and there's no homes or buildings for miles around, so don't get a puncture, 'cos its a long walk to Applecross 28th October - I've a 21st to attend, then a poker night. I'll be a broke man. Applecross is no dayouting for the central belt gang. An overnighter in the Applecross Inn with the local band and beer (or two)is a must do... |

Sorry folks but the ride was cancelled due to the bad weather. I have had problems getting on here, up until yesterday evening we were still stinking about it, but the roads are crap.
