The weather is looking reasonable today. Time to blow off my biking cobwebs and go for a ride. I've seen an FB post on a bike shop/cafe called Soul Dragon just outside Newport (NR Telford) so might go and investigate that.

Morning all. Cold, clear, frosty and blue skies; my favourite sort of winter morning.

Just back from my second funeral in two weeks. My brother in law this time so it was a whistle-stop visit to the Holiday Inn Express in Shrewsbury last night, as its five minutes from the crem for the 11:30 service, then a wake just outside Oswestry. It was a lovely day weatherwise and lovely to be in Shropshire again, even though it was for a painful reason.

Sorry to hear about your brother in law Trevor. I hope the wake was a suitable celebration of his life.

Evening all, hope everyone's had a good weekend. Been a bit mad here, driving back and forth between home and Oswestry. Spent half the day today catching up with jobs I haven't got around to doing over the last few days. All pretty much up to date now thankfully.

Morning orgers! Wet and grey here. Just about to get wrapped up against the weather and go out with Mabel.

How does everyone else's week look?

Morning Gary. No plans, and that's the way I like it it. Although I'd prefer it if the weather forecast was more promising.

As I'm a sad sort who makes a note of which days I've ridden on and the distance, checking back over previous years gives a reliable indicator of how kind the weather was: if I had a ride on a particular day, it shows the weather and the roads were dry for several hours on that day.

For example, last year I only managed 4 rides in total during March, showing the month was mostly rainy & wet. In contrast, in 2022 I got out on 20 (twenty) days in March. So far, this year seems to be following the pattern of last year ...

Wet around here. If this is the weather pattern going forward I will make the effort to SORN the bike during the winter. Only got round to it this year when I decided to tackle the carbs.

Well it was grey all the way around my walk but no rain I'm pleased to say. The roads are actually pretty dry too.

Pretty drizzly on and off all morning and still lots of flooding on some roads, so may be another week or two before Hugh pokes a wheel out of the garage. Getting itchy feet to be riding again I must say...
