Average miles on an SV tank?
Went for a ride yesterday to Buxton Hills... Brilliant day with a Rvf400 and Diversion F
Found that my bike is running abit to rich on the petrol, very very strong smell coming from the exhaust when it is idling... How many miles is your Sv doing on a brimmed tank? Did around 120ish and the tanks basically empty!!

I generally get 130ish to the light then about 170 empty and pushing to the nearest pump.

My range on it has varied from 101 miles (28mpg) from brimmed to it stopping, up to a maximum of 62mpg which would give theoretically 220 miles.
Usually reserve is about 12l but the lights can differ a bit between bikes.

I use to average 175 - 182 miles a tank when commuting 35 miles to and from work mostly motorway work

Curvy, usually get 140-145 miles to the flashing light (pretty consistently), haven't risked it much further than that before

Curvy too and I get approximately 145 - 150 miles before the light starts flashing (I hate the fuel light, it's very distracting!!).
I've pushed it to about 175 miles before filling up a few times. I use Fuelly to track my fuel efficiency - http://www.fuelly.com/driver/skybaba/sv650s |

My light comes on at 160 and I could probably push to 200 a tank. Most I've seen is 220 miles before I bottled it.
Today my light came on at 160 and that was chasing 3 blackbirds.. so no I don't hang around! |

I average 100 to a tank (till the light comes on) Bit of hijack... should the light come on constant and then flash, or tother way round.... ive never seen mine flash (or have i just not bottled it enough to get it that far... 2004 Pointy by the way)

140ish to light normally on a curvy, mixture of commuting and playing. Got 120-130 on pointy.
