I think this would shed some more light on it all?

Good guide that, but like I say there's more to making pods work properly than just changing main jets and needle heights. The extent of the changes needed I'm not sure about.

have been looking for a thread about airbox mods, I have a 2000 curvy & I've noticed that the airbox inlet is only about 6mm larger than the carbs venturis, this looks rather restrictive. Has anyone cut out a larger hole or swapped the snorkel (I take it that's what the inlet tube is called) for a larger dia bit of tube ?

The bike is currently completely standard, but I have a spare engine that I hope to "tweek" over time as & when preferably for as little as possible, like finding bigger pistons that are from something else rather than the ludicrously expensive wiseco max overbore ones.

Quickest and cheapest mod to gain proper hp is to install inlet cams from a pointy.

I don't remember anyone doing any airbox mods on a curvy.

I have some pointy cams which are for sale

Thanks for the reply, I need to find out which model motor my bike has first because it was swapped at 59,000 miles for another one & I'm not sure which year it's from.

How much are you wanting for the cams out of interest ?

Seems like a fair price.

I need to get the bike on the road first & then start doing bits & pieces, I have the original motor that I fancy boring out & generally rebuilding at some stage ( it was burning oil hence the swap ).
