lol, yeah, it's alright I suppose....but to have to travel quite some way from home to get to good spots makes me wonder if I'd still rather spend the money going to the med etc to do it...

There is more driving than diving involved with this hobby lol.

Up to you mate, personally I hate airports, and I'm not right interested in pretty dives looking at the odd fish or "tourist wrecks".

It's definitely something I'd like to do if the opportunity rises, but for a hobby the driving would do my nut in!

When I'm comparing diving, I'm comparing it against the south pacific which isn't fair...I get to do that once every few years so it's not comparable but it does put everything else into insignificance when it comes to wildlife....although it doesn't have world war II wreck dives!!

Booked with Diveline to go to Stoney Cove on the 1st/2nd June to complete our training. Will be doing a refresher before we go.

Cool, have fun. Will be warm by then (ish... lol)

I've got a pretty good year going so far, got the homebuilt CCR in the water, been doing a fair bit on it and have got some interesting trips booked later in the year.

Did the refresher tonight. Totally lost control of buoyancy when removing and refitting my weight belt. And snorted some water when removing and refitting my mask.

It's not usually possibly to stay in control of buoyancy when removing your weight belt. Best avoided!
