Default 2002 SV650 Gear Selector Rod

Evening all, I'm new to the forum after buying an '02 Curvy SV for the track.

The shift rod is bent on mine. I'm wondering whether I should replace it with a genuine SV650 one for £10, or if there is an improved design I can replace it with - poss of a GSXR? The one on my RR5 Blade is a hollow alloy rod compared to the solid mild steel one on the SV & it seems a better quality design for it.

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah, but it's mullered and they're never the same once they've been bent.

Like I say, I'm looking for an upgraded part so that it doesn't bend easily again - the original item looks very flimsy.

You can get custom stainless steel ones made up to whatever size you want. I think I bought it from a guy on eBay

I've crashed twice on the left and not bent the stock one. Mild steel straightens out fine, if you really want to know. At least keep it as a spare!
