Default Renthal ultra lows..

I understand that if i change the handlebars on my k6 naked with Renthal ultra lows, I'm going to need to take a little off the ends.. if anyone has done this, can you remember how much you cut off each side?

simple solution. put the renthals, levers and switchgear on, lightly nip up the switchgear/levers then turn the bars side to side and move the levers and switchgear till there is no fouling/stretching of cables. mark the throttle/clutch grip ends with a felt or scribe and viola you have how much to take off making sure that both ends are equal.

to get the nib of the switchgear in the correct place put some insulating tape round the bar at the nib position then tighten the switchgear till you have a mark then drill the hole out.

I couldn't bring myself to drill my Renthals. I wrapped insulation tape around the bars and cut the nibs off the housings.

No slippage whatsoever.

I did that and it was ok but pushing the starter firmly made the switchgear spin around. I'd drill it if I was doing it again

I guess if I'm going to be cutting the Renthal's, a little drilling won't hurt
