It's immaculate and has never been down or dropped. I have both keys with 2 remotes for alarm and all the handbooks/documents and paperwork required for alarm etc. Comes with rear seat and grab-rail aswell.

I'm after £3500 for it, will possibly would accept a close offer from a forum member who promises to give it a loving home! - Would take £3200 as i've seen a bike i'm interested in..

Lol your looking to upgrade already....methinks you should of got the R6 in the first place

I can vouch for its 'mintness' I'd have her meself if i didn't already have one!

In hindsight, maybe I should have gone straight for an R6.. I was advised not to get something that quick as my first bike but I think I would be ok as I think I have the self-discipline.

The insurance was a stumbling block too but if I look at one a few years old it's much better, still loads though

Personal view Nick.....

Keep the SV for a year or so.....

Then you will have the no-claims to make the R6 insurance affordable.

I know where you are at with the "shiny shiny" of an R6, but that SV you have IS very nice.

Would love an R6, GXR6 etc, but cant justify the cost of the insurance, and to be honest I am not even near the limits of what the SV can do for me.

R6 is gorgeous, but I think too much of a handful on a new license.

I also think that you wont get £3.5k for a second hand SV - new ones can be had for just £500 more.

I would give you £2500 but I know i wouldn't accept that myself so wouldn't expect you to.

The bikes is a beauty. Only wish I had a bike like that!

The R6 might be fun but head down and bum up is gonna seriously hurt, not too mention the insurance company quotes, robbing sods they are!

Cheers guys, appreciate the input, it's likely I will keep it longer if I can't get a decent price for it. Money is quite tight and i've just spent it all doing bits to the SV, hence the non-bargain price tag!

When I was looking to buy I considered a new SV but to be honest I didn't like the colours they came in and once i'd added the price of all the extras I wanted inc alarm it was over £4.5k. The K5 blue was the one!

I seem to have this problem - I keep looking at other bikes and thinking, hmmmm - That's nice! I could be riding that! The riding position of an R6 isn't an issue as I had an Aprilia RS125 which was a similar position and I use the bike purely for sunny sunday blasts, max 100 miles at a time.
