I have an update....
I complained to the manufacturers (Bikeit) and they kindly swapped them for a pair of their Premier range and they are brilliant ) As far as I could see the others I bought weren't sealed at the seams, which were stitched and therefore let the water in there.. |

My Oxford Rainex is doing well at keeping the rain out, but the silver fabric is losing its strength on the side which gets direct sunlight and now tears easily.
