i dropped my sv 650 now it wont start

Need help. i dropped my bike on a hill on the kick stand side and now i cant get it to start. i switch the red ignition and it turns on but the black starter button does nothing, no sound. any ideas?

What year? Is the FI flashing (if its new)? Maybe bashed the side stand switch... if its broken youll need to earth the wire to the chassis.

Not left it in gear with side stand down (easy done).

Make sure the kill switch wires are connected right.

its an 07. yeah i tried everything. but nothing works, how do i know if the kill switch is hook right, i made sure everything was attached. the stand is cool, but my foot shifter broke off at the tip. what does earth the wire to the chassis mean? thank for the help

You sure the clutch cut-out switch has not popped of the bottom of the clutch leaver?

If there's an FI warning light then the tip over sensor might have cabbaged, try hit it with something.

My FI came on when I dropped it after the damn bike stalled (seemed to be running bad... the fall fixed that ). All I need to do was turn it off re arm the alarm deactivate alarm and on it popped.

As for the earthing the wire... If the side stand switch is smashed.

As grinch said check the clutch cut out switch is still in there.

If the SV tip over switch is same as this then it's not impossible for the contact to get stuck, giving it a bit of a rattle isn't going to hurt. A 10lb sledgehammer is a little OTT mind you. A toffee hammer perhaps.

yeah the switch is still there and working. are there any switches i need to deactivate to reset somehting

where is the tip over switch located? so i can rattle the SOB

Is the FI light on? Have you tried bypassing the clutch switch?
