Why? - Just in case it's needed really
Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - Not yet
If so, why, and were you able to continue? - N/A
If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - N/A
What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - Whatever it was I paid for one before (when you first started selling them), it's a good bit of kit
Would you prefer to buy one from;
A, manufactures web site,
B, resllers web site,
C, local accessory outlet,
Answer - A and C. Manufacturer website for the advance buyer (just in case) and C for the emergency and impulse buys
Would you recomend one to your friends? - Yes
What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Looks good quality and should last a while
Other comments - Decent product that needs a lot more advertising, it could save loads of people the hassle of being stranded at the side of the road

I'm sorry if this sounds like a plug, it's not.[/QUOTE]

I want to go into the meeting armed with some feedback (positive and negative) from users, and non users, and where best to ask for that information than the birth place of the Fixer-Peg.

Their costs seem very high but I need the business to progress as it is just paying for itself at the moment with only my time and energy keeping it going.

If you could let me know some information like the sample below (good or bad), It may give my partner and the marketing guys a better indication of which path to take, if any.

Best of luck, I've not used one but I've seen one and spoke to you about them and it's a bloody brilliant invention. Worth reitterating the price of one versus most levers and the fact of it avoiding a priceless weekend being spoiled. If you can get the video of you crashing with the bungs and fixer peg then being able to continueoff seggons that'd be marketing gold.

If you thing a genuine lever's something ridiculous like £50 (as that's waht the powerrangers would be buying) and then consider how easy it is to fit a fixer peg...then get the consumer to think that, it'll sell. They just need to a) know about it and b) see how it benefits them.

*removed* PM'd
Pete's idea's brilliant - I'd get ringing breakdown companies!

Bike - 2006 VFR800-VTEC
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - Yes
Why? - To ensure that I can continue my touring holiday in the case of a minor crash.
Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - Not yet, but have seen it used several times.
If so, why, and were you able to continue? - N/A
If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - N/A
What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - £10 to £15 would be a good price, makes it a 'pocket money' buy.
Would you prefer to buy one from;
A, manufactures web site,
B, resllers web site,
C, local accessory outlet,
Answer - A and C. Manufacturer website covers the buyer who has seen one and thinks it a good idea and C for the emergency and impulse buys (see pocket money comment)
Would you recommend one to your friends? - Yes
What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - First class, mine has sat under my seat for close to two years and still looks perfect.
Other comments - A great idea and good product, make sure you protect your intellectual property to prevent rip offs.

Both great ideas to increase the take up of the Fixer-Peg, but I urge you to make sure the idea is patented / trade marked etc before doing this. In fact patenting the idea is essential to prevent rip-offs being manufactured and sold at a loss by a big firm to put you out of business. Really get this idea sewn up before marketing to protect your investment.

Bike - 2x SV650S
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - yes
Why? - Saw it being used in Scotland, when a forum member needed one. DavieSV gave me one.
Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - Yes
If so, why, and were you able to continue? - The toe had broken off the gear lever after my off, it gave me chance to carry on using the bike until I had got a new lever.
If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - Couldn't ride anywhere
What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - dunno, can't remember how much I paid for it, but wouldn't pay more than a tenner. But thats cause I'm a stingy northerner!
Would you prefer to buy one from;
A, manufactures web site,
B, resllers web site,
C, local accessory outlet,
Answer - Ant of the above TBH. I think they should be everywhere and very accessible to all bikers
Would you recomend one to your friends? - Always do. Bought one for my partners Raptor soon after I bought mine.
What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Very good
Other comments - Its a very simple and convenient way of getting back on the road ASAP after an off, if all the damage there is is a foot lever. I think every bike should have one under the seat, you never know when you may need one. I reckon it would be a great piece of kit to be sold in a retailers. Would make it so much more accessible to more people, rather than word of mouth on the forum or a by chance look on the net.

Other comments -I lost one of the securing bolts as it was a whole week before I could get it swapped, but rather nicely you sent me out a replacement for free. Cheers.
I also keep a set of spare leavers under my seat so this helps me save a lot more space, as I would like to not have to carry them too.

Instead of using a marketing company have you tried contacting busters, mps express, etc and see if they are interested in stocking it? They have a huge customer base.
