Default Whats the deal with fitting a new can

ok i want a new sound on my standard SV. Not got pots of cash to spend unfortunately. Whats the best pipe i can get for aroun £170. Also is it right that SV's standard pipe needs to be chopped then new can fitted.

I've also heard from some garages that this can affect MOT and warranty malarky - surely not!

Do a search or have a look in the exhaust section. This very subject has been covered lots and lots

Two very popular MOT legal cans are the "FUEL" oval stainless steel and the "Carbon Can Co" equivalent. Both can often be had from eBay for about £120 including the shipping.

As with all SV kit, there is plenty knocking about. If you are prepared to wait, you should be able to get a bargain off here.

Yes you need to cut the pipe, but it's easy and you can put the standard can back on later.

Road legal cans pass an MOT. A lot have removable baffles to make them louder.

Warrenty/ No idea...
