Default idle cable at carb end

My sv650S k1 idles at 1100 rpm and my idle adjuster knob has seized so if i follow the cable into the engine where will it go and can i loosen it there. I assume i must remove the fairings and air filter box?

get a haynes manual its pretty straight forward, failing that soak it in some penetrating fluid and see how you go, but you'll find as long as the carbs are on the bike your restricted in access.

I've got the manual but was hoping to not have too, though i may now if i have no joy. Annoyed that it has seized. Tried from the knob end with WD40 but too no avail. If i do will any settings be altered?

Would i try from the knob end with WD40, if so would it squirt up the rubber outer pipe containing the cable?
