Default Curvy grinding when pulling away in 1st gear.

Hi folks my 02 sv is grinding sometimes when i pull away. It only happens sometimes and only for the first gear and for ten mins of riding then goes away. I leave the choke on for about 30 seconds when im getting my gear on and then when i put it into first and go to pull out my drive im getting a grinding sound. I also happens when im pulling of from the lights or at a junction. But only for about the first 10 mins of riding. Any ideas whats going on ? Am i not giving the bike long enough to heat up after 5 mins of riding i thought it wouldn't be an issue with the temp of the bike but im out of ideas.
Cheers

Id first be checking your rear brake, sounds to me that the pads are dragging initially then maybe moving away from the disc (or just not making the noise anymore once you are up to speed)

Best way to check is try not use your rear brake for a 10 min ride, stop get off and touch the disc, If your hand melts, its dragging

Hi thanks for the reply and advice. Ive just fully serviced my rear brake and its not dragging at all. I have checked it just now and its fine. I think it may be my clutch as if i slowly let the clutch out in first it pulls away fine with no grinding noise at all. Its only if i give it some beans when im pulling off. Ive checked my chain and its fine. My clutch adjuster at the throttle was a little bit lose. So ill check it again see what happens.

Clutch. My son had the same on a high mileage curvy and it was a bearing in the clutch release mechanism. It would make a nasty noise on letting out the clutch, more so if giving it some welly.
Still got the engine if anyone wants it

Also check your front sprocket and nut are all the way done up and havent statred to undo themselves and eat into the Clutch lifter/worm-drive.

Clutch release bearing sounds like a candidate.
