Default Made to measure leathers.

So what are the good companies out there for getting a made to measure one piece?

I've heard of Crowtree, but they're winding down, also BKS who I still believe do bespoke suits. Any others out there, either in the UK or on the continent?

I've heard good things about both wolf and Hideout, should be worth a look anyway.

Cheers Mark.

Agree with Mr Rictus. I've been to the Hideout Leathers shop which is in the middle of nowhere. Very impressive, buy off the peg an have it altered or get one made from scratch. I think they are popular with amateur racers so always a good sign

I think Wolf are a bit cheaper. My local Harpers do Wolf tailor mades.

Had a look at a few of these sites and the prices were a little saltier than I expected. As I'm a pretty normal size I guess the sensible option is to go for an off the peg suit, the difference in price will pay for a whole season of track days

Well I have had 2 lots made at MSW

Only problem is they are in Auckland, NZ

The 1st lot have survived 3 offs (one high-side, one fall to the left and one over the bars) and are still good - only got the second set as I was in NZ the other week and had the spare cash

Take a look at this... think they're pricey, but worth a look... great online suit tool as well...

Look in your local directory for a 'seamstress' or look under 'leather'.

There's a company in your area called Nine Lives - I think they are in Guildford. They do top quality leathers alterations to all makes of suits for the racing fraternity.

The troble with using a seamstress or someone who just does the odd repair here and there is they dont usually double/triple stitch or use strong enough thread.
