Default Brake fluid reservoir

Hi guys,
I need a new front brake fluid reservoir, I broke the mount! Fail.

Is there anything cool I can do to improve the stopping power? Or does it have no impact on the braking

Give the calipers a good service (new seals & clean) & change the pads for better ones

Rebuilt the calipers last year myself and put on some HH pads and already have SS lines (only on the front though)

Haha, I did plastic glue it back together the first time I snapped it. It's looking a bit ropey now and think I just need to replace it.
I guess there's no easy breaking boost from swapping it?

suzuki bike of the month has one on discount for the GSXR which is the same.

59740-07D00 just pop that part number into robinson foundry search box £20.71 inc lid, gasket and diaphragm.

as for improving the stopping power. give the brakes another bleed or get better pads. i got a set of DP pads and they are fekin superb, ok i have radial callipers but the difference between EBC and DP is staggering. i could never 1 finger brake with EBC pads but i can with the DP ones, smoother bite and more lever control. i find EBC HH pads glaze up too easily on the SV being a twin as you hardly use them so you end up giving it handfuls a few times to de-glaze.

I fitted Yamaha Blue Spot brakes, they feel quite nice. Mind you to do this, I had to fit a different set of disks to a Yamaha front wheel and a set of R1 forks. It was a lot of work just to get a pretty set of callipers.

SV brakes will feel nice and solid if they are well serviced, have clean seals and you put good hoses on them. Good luck.

Thanks I will do that.

I would agree with you that the pads looked and felt very smooth when I checked them in the week while putting the forks back on. Hardly any wear on them though so thought this was normal?
